Amazing August Day

Today was an even nicer day than yesterday at the Tomato Art Festival. The temps were in the mid 80s and there was a nice breeze with a little touch of crisp Fall air in it, blowing all day. Fall is really trying to get here! I took Alley over to the Bicentennial Mall and we walked all around it, and even over to Germantown.

I hope we have an early Fall and it lasts on into late November! It is my favorite time of the year! Already got plans for a white water rafting trip in October, and a trip to Gatlinburg and a UT/Vandy football game (never been to a UT game in Knoxville before) in November! (And who knows what I'll end up doing for my FALL BREAK?)
Fall is shaping up to be really nice this year!

East Nashville Tomato Art Festival 2011

I think this was like the 5th or 6th year for the festival...and it was easily the best one so far. The cooler temps certainly helped, but they had more/better booths...etc. Good time. I didn't take many pics, but I did take a few. Here they are.

Morning Spider's Web

I just got back from working out yesterday morning, and saw this in the backyard. The morning sunlight was coming through the trees at just the right angle, the sprinkler had just lightly dusted the web with water... A spider's web is so fascinating to me, so I try to capture them when I can, but they are not easy to photograph.

Marketing Company using my pics

So I got this today at my Flickr account. Very cool.
Dear Paul Beavers:

Your fantastic and interesting photographs on flickr of the TN outdoors and around Nashville inspired me to contact you.

I work for a company that represents public radio and TV stations around the country to corporate supporters. Currently I am working with Nashville Public Radio (WPLN FM & AM and Classical 91.1FM) to compose their media kit, and we are seeking local photos for the piece.

Would you consider allowing us to feature any of the photographs in the media kit? We would certainly give you photo credit.

In particular, I am interested in the following:

This one of the Dragon in Fannie Mae Dees Park - Do you have a color version?
