Memphis In March 2012

So last weekend I spent Friday-Monday in Memphis, Tennessee. Not particularly one of my favorite places in the state, but it turned out to be a great time!
I was there for conference. I stayed at the Peabody, which was really nice and very enjoyable.
The ducks were cute of course, and it is very centrally located.
I got to see my roommate John Stephany from my 2008 China trip (first time since then) and it was a good time all around. Here are some of the photos from the trip.

Nashville Downtown after the Storm

I love downtown Nashville! There was WEIRD light again after the storm so I ran downtown and stayed for a couple of hours. The colors are pretty nice.

Spring at the Bicentennial Mall (Nashville)

I drove home from work today and took a couple of back roads to avoid traffic. I ended up passing the Bicentennial Mall as I drove on Jefferson Street and I saw storms coming in (they actually never arrived where I was...) and decided to turn around since I had my camera with me and take some photographs. I also got some great shots of the red bud trees in FULL bloom. They were gorgeous! The lighting was so strange as the sun was setting and the storm clouds rolled in...which created the strange light. The clouds were amazing as well. So here are some of the photos from this outing. Spring Walk with the iPhone

I took a personal day from school today. It was a little rainy when Alley and I went for a walk this morning, but it was nice and warm and just a nice day to chill out and relax doing nothing. We slept in and then took off through our normal walking areas looking for Spring Blooms...there were plenty already out in full force. I just had my iPhone and got a few shots I'm including here.
