Nashville Fog

So today's weather has been very strange...lots of rain...then a little bit of fog...then lots of fog...then lots of storms...weird. But that's a great time to run take some photographs. Took one that made it to my all time favorite list of photos...(pictured here). Just something weird about the lighting and the fog...clouds.

Rock Island State Park

To say that the weather we have had this past week, is giving me SPRING FEVER is a bit of an understatement!
So I thought I'd head to a state park (we have great ones here) that I'd never visited before and hike and enjoy nature.
Although I must say Rock Island isn't one of my favorites...it did have some great waterfalls and it was nice to take in the nature.

The West Recovered

So after the destruction of my external hard drive this summer, I've been wanting to take the photos from my trip out west and work on editing them (AGAIN). There are WAY too many to do at once, so it took awhile to do. I'm lucky I still have them, but I had not erased them from the memory cards that go in my camera, so I had them, but they were going to have to be cleaned up and edited (AGAIN...I did a few all along on the trip so it wasn't so bad...the first time).

Snow at Radnor

Here's how I spent my 10th snow day this year...

I headed out (slipping and sliding a little bit) to Radnor Lake around 11:00am and stayed there until around 3:00pm walking around the whole lake in the snow. It was so quiet and peaceful.
When I arrived there were hardly any cars/people there. When I left it had started filling up.

Creepy Old House

So how can a house be creepy and beautiful all at the same time? Not sure, but this old Victorian that is abandoned and sits off the road a bit just over the Alabama/Tennessee state line on the Alabama side as I head toward my parents' house in Lexington seems to do both. I was brave enough to go inside, but I wasn't brave enough to go upstairs.
