Today was an even nicer day than yesterday at the Tomato Art Festival. The temps were in the mid 80s and there was a nice breeze with a little touch of crisp Fall air in it, blowing all day. Fall is really trying to get here! I took Alley over to the Bicentennial Mall and we walked all around it, and even over to Germantown.
I hope we have an early Fall and it lasts on into late November! It is my favorite time of the year! Already got plans for a white water rafting trip in October, and a trip to Gatlinburg and a UT/Vandy football game (never been to a UT game in Knoxville before) in November! (And who knows what I'll end up doing for my FALL BREAK?) Fall is shaping up to be really nice this year!

I think this was like the 5th or 6th year for the festival...and it was easily the best one so far. The cooler temps certainly helped, but they had more/better booths...etc. Good time. I didn't take many pics, but I did take a few. Here they are.

I just got back from working out yesterday morning, and saw this in the backyard. The morning sunlight was coming through the trees at just the right angle, the sprinkler had just lightly dusted the web with water... A spider's web is so fascinating to me, so I try to capture them when I can, but they are not easy to photograph.(Click the pic for more photos)
So this is my last set from my trip to Las Vegas last week. On Monday I got up and drove about an hour north of Vegas to Valley of Fire State Park. It was beautiful. The colors were amazing. It hit 111 degrees while I was out there, but it also rained on me...didn't get wet though...it evaporated as soon as it hit me. Weird stuff. It was a nice hike and peaceful.
So while I was in Vegas for the wedding I had some time to walk around the strip and take a few photographs. That place is- to say the least- over the top in every possible way. It blows my mind how many FAMILIES were there...who takes their kids to Las Vegas? That's just weird. Anyway, here are some of the pics from there.
