Valley of Fire State Park- Nevada

So this is my last set from my trip to Las Vegas last week. On Monday I got up and drove about an hour north of Vegas to Valley of Fire State Park. It was beautiful. The colors were amazing. It hit 111 degrees while I was out there, but it also rained on me...didn't get wet though...it evaporated as soon as it hit me. Weird stuff. It was a nice hike and peaceful.

Las Vegas- July 17-19

So while I was in Vegas for the wedding I had some time to walk around the strip and take a few photographs. That place is- to say the least- over the top in every possible way. It blows my mind how many FAMILIES were there...who takes their kids to Las Vegas? That's just weird. Anyway, here are some of the pics from there.

Celeste & Jose- Las Vegas Wedding

So my friend Celeste got married last week in Las Vegas (it was planned...ha ha) to a great guy she met there 3 years ago, Jose Alba. It was a great time and they had me come out and take photographs for them. I'm including the links here to the different sets of the wedding, double deck bus ride through the Vegas strip, and then the dinner/reception following. It was a very beautiful and sweet wedding. I wish them much happiness as they begin their new life in Houston, Texas.

Savage Gulf Hike

So my roommate Barrett and his girlfriend Kristin and I, went for a Memorial Day weekend hike at Savage Gulf State Recreational Area in Grundy County, Tennessee. We started at Stone Door...which is an amazing view of the valley below and hiked down into the gorge below. Lots of GREEN this time of year. It was nice. We hiked 10 miles...and I didn't even die...but I almost did. heh. (Click the pic for more)

2011 Cicada Infestation

I'm a little obsessed with these things. It's sort of like a car wreck, you don't really want to see it, but then you can't look away... These are all taken in my back yard. I do love their song...the sound of summer!
