A Fall Day At Radnor Lake

What a gorgeous sunset at Radnor Lake on this great Fall Day! I almost got there too late. I left the house at 5pm and made it to Radnor around 5:25... The sun went down VERY fast so I pretty much stayed on one side of the lake instead of getting lost in the darkness of the woods.

It is good to run across these from time to time, because I lost most of them when my external hard drive crashed. These were all taken in early 2008 just after I got my new camera (Pentax K10D). (Click the pic)

Following the Moon

So I've not had much practice with photographing the moon. I have played around with it a little. I've learned that the best time to take photos of the moon is earlier in the evening while it is still low in the sky. It isn't as bright when it is lower like that.
I took photographs back on September 18 and then some photographs two nights ago on October 25 and there are some striking differences. Although the bright images aren't really clear in regard to the moon itself...I love how the clouds seem to be playing around the moon (which actually looks more like the sun since it is so bright later in the night).

Tennessean Photo Contest Winner

This is the photograph that won the Tennessean Newspaper's Travel Photography award for 2010.

I won a 4 day and 3 night stay on the Gulf Coast, and $800 gift card from Southwest Airlines.

I sold the gift card on Craig's List and I'm saving the trip for sometime in the Spring or early Summer of 2011.

This image was taken in Grand Teton National Park in June, 2010.

GLOW SHOW 2010

So THAT was interesting! ha ha. It was like Halloween a week early!
Great people watching to say the least. Here is the 411 on the Glow Show.

SNAP is proud to participate in the UNTITLED Groups annual "Glow Show" fundraiser and party in the dark.

SNAP will collect images and put together a slide show of "glow" related subjects that will be projected at the show.

The show is One Night Only, and there is a $5 donation at the door.
