London, June 2008

So I've been working on uploading my photos to Flickr the past few days. That site is much easier for me to use and upload to...etc. So we'll see how it goes. Here are a few images from my trip to London back in 2008.

Creepy Old House

So how can a house be creepy and beautiful all at the same time? Not sure, but this old Victorian that is abandoned and sits off the road a bit just over the Alabama/Tennessee state line on the Alabama side as I head toward my parents' house in Lexington seems to do both. I was brave enough to go inside, but I wasn't brave enough to go upstairs.

Downtown Sunset

So this evening as I was driving home across the Gateway Bridge around 4:45 and saw that it was looking to be a nice sunset, so I ran home and grabbed my camera (so glad to have it back) and came back downtown to the river on the East side. I got a few shots as the sun was going down, so I got some shots from different points of light as the sun was going down. I included a handful of black and white shots. I love taking photographs of downtown river front Nashville...

Snow Day 8: The Endless Winter

So here we go again. Another snow day...this makes #8 for the school year. I'm watching my summer days freeze away... But I made the most of it visiting Centennial Park and not too far from there, Fannie J. Battle Park (Dragon Park). It was fun.

I have a set of color photographs as well as a small selection of black and white photographs from today. Snow certainly lends itself to the black and white shots. So you can click the top pic for the color pics, and the bottom pic for the black and white shots.

Snow Day @ The Bicentennial Mall

Took off this morning to the Bicentennial Mall, and grabbed a few photos of the snow. The bell towers look like candles or lanterns with smoke coming out of them...

Southern Winter Wonderland

Drove down to Alabama today for my sister's 50 birthday! On the way I stopped in the Pulaski and Minor Hill, Tennessee areas to get some great snow shots. (Minor Hill got like 14 inches of snow or something like that).
Once I got to my parents' I took about an hour hike back into their woods and got some nice shots. When I came out of the woods this amazing sunset is what greated me. Amazing colors.
